    2005 GTP. Passenger floor completely full of water.

    When I pull up the carpet, where the door bolts to the frame, there is an access port where the door wires go, that is completely full of water and its spilling onto the floor. There is a tube in there that goes upwards, and if I blow in it, it's completely unclogged, presume thats the AC Drain, but I do not have working AC, and it's been sitting for months.

    Got the deflector fix from a junkyard and sealed the cabin air box. If I pour water into the cowl, it drains out cleanly behind the wheel.

    Sunroof seals fine. Pouring water onto it while closed results in all the water going down the roof rails or windshield and draining out the cowl.

    I assume there is supposed to be a drain to the outside, where the door bolts on if that is the AC drain, but I couldn't feel anything other then a couple blobs of foam sealant.

    ac drain is at the lower pass side fire wall.

    the sun roof drains run down the between the doors and the front a pillar. try blowing down the drains in the sun roof. or open the roof and pour some water in the rain gutter to see if it drains.

    you can also drill a hole in that cavity thats holding the water to help drain it out. my tahoe was doing the same thing. some how rain just kept getting in the lower front part of the cab under the A pillar and over flowing to the pass side floor. did all that same stuff you did then found a vid where a guy had the same issue and pushed the drain hole clear. i found and pushed threw that hole and never had a wet floor again. seems it was supposed to let water pass through the little drain, but it was all clogged up with dirt and crap.

    If you drill a hole, be sure to paint it so it doesn't rust.

    On my earlier GP coupes and on other bodies theres a deflector in the door which redirects water coming in at the mirror and belt molding and keeps it off the window motor. It directs water toward the inside so it runs down the weather liner behind the door trim panel. If theres a spot at bottom of liner where it is not stuck to door shell, water trickles out the bottom of the trim panel and over the sill trim. Stuff a paper towel between door panel and sill trim then test to prove. It tends to build up then let out a bunch of water and the angle of the parking spot can affect it.

    So a guy might have to observe for awhile to catch it leaking. Only place it can be seen is when it trickles over the sill for a moment. Once it reaches carpet, no-see-um. In the past, this explanation has been called BS here but I know it is valid. I am only suggesting a place to check.

    I think Scotty (of course) is more on point. It's definitely draining through the A piller. So I gather it's supposed to drain into that cavity, but supposed to drain out, not fill it up.<br>

    I stuck a screwdriver under the foam chunk, and it immediately started draining. So I wedged a nail under the foam and poured a pint of water through the open sunroof channel, it drained into the cavity, and right back out under the car.

    pretty sure the drain hose should be sticking out the rocker a bit. if you can extend it, just might solve the whole problem.

    The hose is exactly long enough to reach the bottom of the A piller cavity, gave it a little tug and it's not going anywhere, it's not ripped or deteriorating so I don't think it broke off.

    I'm guessing it was supposed to be secured in the foam blob and wasn't and I've just never had enough water in the sunroof to notice? I stuffed my hand in there and felt all around and there isn't anywhere it could have been pulled out of.

    sounds like its under control now.

    best to lift the carpet up and point a fan at it and the foam to help dry it up. if its starting to stink, baking soda will kill that pond smell. when dry, just vac it up with a shop vac, or at a car wash cause the b/s dust can really fuk up your house vacuum.

    I drilled 4x 1/8 holes in the floor pan to drain it after I first posted, as there was water almost up to the seat rails by then. It's been raining here almost everyday for like several weeks. After todays rain the cavity was full and the foam under the carpet was squishy, but the carpet was dry on top so it's been draining well enough.

    If the the nail in the cavity keeps it draining well enough, I'll blob some RTV on the holes I drilled and call it good.

    if you lift the carpet, you'll find a rubber drain plug in the floor.

    I saw that on the left side of the floor, poked at it, and didn't see how the water from the right side would be able to drain out as well, and wasn't entirely sure about how easily it could be replaced.

    its a simple plug, pull sout, pushes back in. theres like 4 or 6 of em in the floor. front and back foot wells.

    my car flooded out on me once. had to gut it and dry everything. found and used em all.

    Any input is appreciated. I did check the door seal just to eliminate it, as I really didn't get where water could be coming in, plus my original terminology was a little vague.
