    I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with a series 2 3800 engine.
I recently had to replace the o-rings in the rear fuel connector, as it was spitting out gas.
I also noticed that the fuel rail, specifically the front rail was corroded/oxidized. I am assuming this is due to the road salt that is used here in NJ and the north east during winter. As the rear part of the fuel rail is free of any corrosion.

I brought the car to my mechanic regarding the fuel rail corrosion, and he said, its not a problem, he suggested wire brushing the rails and coating them with grease to prohitit more corrosion. He did not see a need to replace the fuel rail.

I am not sure I am comfortable with this, as I do not want my rails to rust through and start squitting gas on my engine as im driving.

I am attaching pictures of the fuel rail corrosion.

Should i just wire brush the rust of or replace the rails??

    Thank you
