My 2008 grand prix started showing the yellow icon on my dash about my left front tire pressure. Initially it was showing dashes and the other tires showed the correct pressure. That was over the summer. Now when I go to my HUD, all four tires show dashes but they look fine. What could be the problem?

You'll want to have some place use one of those TPMS scanners to read the sensors and see what ones are working and what ones are not. It's likely they have lost communication and are dying on you. How many are dead or dying is hard to say but when they are 10+ years old you are lucky they are still working.

Most have a battery life of 8 years give or take. You can find them online for fairly good prices and even some parts store carry them. Ordering online through a parts store can get you discounts too. Then it's just have them installed. New sensors on the 16 or 17in rims does not require removing the tire, just popping the top bead so you can push the tire down and unbolt the sensor.

New sensor need to be reprogrammed to the car and if you only had to do 1 or 2 they would be programmed along with your other sensors back to the vehicle so they read again.

My TPMS sensors are failing on my Silverado and it will cost me around $240 to replace them. I was looking around and found this unit.

Other than the obvious issue of not knowing when a tire is deflating, what are your thoughts? Looks like a permanent solution. I haven't found anywhere that can delete this code.
