This weekend, my 2008 grand prix just started giving me both the yellow light by the dash and the message that the low tire warning system has been activated message. I checked all my tires and none of them have a leak or are even low. My left front tire is the only tire not showing a psi reading on the HUD though so I know its an issue with that tire. Does anyone know how to fix or how much it costs to fix the sensor in that tire as I am assuming thats the problem?

I'd call your local tire places and see if they replace the batteries.

They will just replace the sensor.

You have to basically completely destroy the sensor to even get at a battery in the sensor. They are molded around the battery with plastic and glue.

Most sensors are less than $50 even at the auto parts store and a shop may get even a better deal plus the install. Start calling around to see what they say.

A shop would reset the system if a new sensor was installed.

If the sensor is never fixed the message will always be there.
