Almost everyone I know has zero knowledge of cars and think I'm a master mechanic since I can change my oil so, they always ask me to give them a jump start if they're having issues. Last week I left my nitrous warmer on and killed my battery dead dead so I decided enough waiting. My biggest concern is the amp rating. Most basic ones have a peak rating of 400-500 and from reviews people seem to be able to jump start bigger cars then the grand prix with no problem but, where I don't understand is what happens if my battery is dead dead like 95% drained like it was when I left my warmer on. Will this 4-500 amp pack put out enough power to jump the car who's battery is 700amp if the car battery is fully or almost fully drained?

I think there is a 1000 watt one on amazon for $100. I’m going to assume it won’t if it’s pulling close to 700 amps to start and will probably pull more since it’s dead dead.

See that's what I was thinking. I'm sure it would work the majority of the time when you just need a little extra juice but if I'm spending money id rather get one that can do it all

I got the Viking from Harbor Freight

I've used it a few times to start other people's cars with no issues. I've even used it to charge my phone when I was camping

I have had 2 Antigravity XP-10 and love them. Only thing is iy has time limit when connecting and jumping the car. You shouldnt leave it on to charge back up. It damages them. My Cornwell guy sells another brand also you can let alternator recharge supposedly. As for a great jump pack thats bigger DSR 2212 is one i got back in 09. Finally had to replace battery and its heavy but the thing has built in charger, will jump some diesels and had cig plug outlet. Also has voltage reading so you can tell if car is charging. And it charges back up ad i pull cars into shop. The red fuel ones havent had any dealings with. Ill get name of other brand tool guy also sells.
