I've got an '01 GTP Sedan, previous owner rattle canned the trunk lid flat black to cover sun damage. I've found a same-gen GT coupe at a local junkyard, also black, that the trunk lid has paint in good shape for 40 bucks.

Wondering if they'll swap right over, or is there a difference in the sheet metal between the 2D and 4D bodies? Plan on swapping the lock cylinder and spoiler from my current lid over to the jy one, as long as they're the same panel.

It's all the same for that.

    Awesome. Thanks!

How do you think would be the easiest to line back up:
leave the hinges on the donor panel, and swap the whole thing, or,
just take the panel and put it on the hinges that are already on my car?
    same price either way.

When I swapped my 2000 deck lid for a 1999 deck lid because of paint peeling I left the hinges on the car. They were not bent or binding so it was easier to just bolt the "new" deck lid down and make the body lines even on both sides.

Yep, took your advice, worked like a charm. Old one was black primered, but spoiler was still factory black. Looks way less like ass now.
