So a few months ago, I had an engine put into my 2006 GT. The car came with an L32, but an L67 was put in. I went to change my oil over the weekend, and noticed that I was unable to fit my socket wrench over the bolt. The transmission fluid pan was in the way. I thought I was just being an idiot, so I tried again, but sure enough, there is absolutely no way that a wrench, with socket, will fit. I googled the part number for a dorman and spectra oil pan for my car, and found that the shape is completely different than what I currently have installed. The one on my car right now is completely flat, and pretty flush with the transmission fluid pan. The dorman and spectra that I saw have a hump (I'm assuming so a wrench won't contact the tranny fluid pan when trying to get the oil drain bolt out).
It just hit me as I was typing this, that I wonder if the capacity is different on the pan that's currently installed, and now I'm worried there's not enough oil...
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I'll post pictures if needed.
