    Hi guys,

I got some new wheels for my 01 gt. They are on the car right now with 2 new goodyear g force sport 245/45/18's up front and rear. Now the rears are shot so i happen to have 2 brand new 245/50/18's in the same g force sports that iv had sitting in storage since last year. Will these fit in the rear without rubbing the strut? The 245/45/18's in the rear only have about a half inch or a bit more clearance from the strut. Im ok with the rear tire being .96 inch taller than the front as this will fill the larger ammount of wheel gap i have in the rear after my drop springs got put in. Thanks guys.

It's over 3% different and I would not do it.

Very possible it will toss the ABS light because of the difference in wheel speed. Just sell those two tires and buy 2 tires that are the right size.

A 245/45-18 tire is the same width as a 245/50-18 tire.
    Hence the 245 designation.
The only difference is the sidewall height. 45 vs. 50.
    245/45-18 245/50-18 Difference
    Diameter inches (mm) 26.68 (677.7) 27.65 (702.2) 0.96 (24.5) 3.6%
    Width inches (mm) 9.65 (245) 9.65 (245) 0 (0) 0%
    Circum. inches (mm) 83.82 (2129.06) 86.85 (2206.03) 3.03 (76.97) 3.6%
    Sidewall Height inches (mm) 4.34 (110.25) 4.82 (122.5) 0.48 (12.25) 11.1%
