I have a 2001 grand prix GTP, I just got the car running after a couple mods and a trans rebuild which is all in my member ride post, but I've been having trouble keeping coolant int he car, first the aluminum elbows were leaking, after fixing those the water pump began leaking out from the bottom side, after replacing the pump and finding no gasket on it, the radiator started leaking from the driver side as well. I ordered a new radiator from ZZP but I'm beginning to wonder if there is a pressure issue in my car. I do know the previous owners filled the car with stop leak and it was obvious in the intake manifold, but I'm worried about what could blow out next.

How many miles on the car?

You could always throw on a low pressure radiator cap. I think they come in 7 pounds.

There should be no issue after all the things you've replaced. Did you flush the cooling system prior to doing all that? Bleed the air from the system? Could be a clog somewhere especially with that stop-leak junk in there. Backflush the heater core? I've yet to run across a reason why I couldn't run the stock PSI rating cap on these cars. Have the LIM gaskets been replaced with the updated ones? If you're still loosing coolant this is where I'd start.

Yes the first thing that wasdone was the lower intake gaskets, then the elbows, pump, and radiator arrives wednesday, the car has 165k on it though, the system was bled each time new coolant was put in it but I didn't worry about flushing the system since it leaked a gallon a day from the water pump, I just kept putting antifreeze and water in it til it all leaked out, the radiator is leaking intermittently and I have yet to notice a pattern in it
