    Hey guys,
So maybe I shouldn't be disappointed as I'm probably expecting too much but i got my front power log in tonight and once I made sure everything was tight and didn't leak I took the car out for a drive. I feel like I lost a fair amount of low end torque but on the contrary the torque that is there feels to pull evenly all the way to 6k with no dip as I like to put it. I got out to an old straight road In the country and did a couple 0-60 runs, the first one was a dud because I got a massive amount of tire spin (a lot more than usual, alot) usually my lowly l36 squaks um but definitely don't burn them haha so maybe there is some evidence of gains, now on some good launches the car definitely gets to 60 quicker and 60-90 is much much quicker. So is this what's expected of a powerlog? My other mods are not very extensive and some of them not even considered mods but they are as follows, 4in fwi intake (the one that actually brings the filter down into the bumper area) u bend delete, magnaflow cat, ls7 lifters, and all my maintenance is up to date uim gaskets, elbows, good plugs and wires etc... what can be done to supplement the torque? Will my cam change everything? I have a zzp gt1 cam tucked in my tool box waiting for me to buy another beater and drop it off at the shop (gonna cost me around 400 to get the cam in, is this reasonable?) Thanks for any and all input.

On a side note: I'm kicking myself in my a** for not buying my cam on black Friday sale so other mods shall be bought on that day!

The gains are there, and if I was running it on a strip I'm sure it would be a huge benefit but for a street car a loss In tq is no good for me, sure makes the car more fun when you romp it at 35 though

A bit odd, I took the car out again and bam night and day, maybe the computer needed to make adjustments? Or maybe after I sat down lowered my expectations and went back out I was able to feel for it reasonably, tq is definitely still there and actually seems to now stay more steady all the way to 6k but the real improvement is still in that 40-80 area the car really seems to cover that very quickly so overall I suppose I'm happy. I think for the black Friday sale I'm going to grab an hv3, hvtb and the 90lb spring I need for my cam.

You could get an L67 for the price of the cam install alone, any particular reason you're against going that route? Trying to make power NA is really a waste of time and resources, unless you're just doing it for fun.

Oh i know i have almost 1k inyo mods so far! Plans are to turbo by next fall I have a goal of touching 200whp before turbo. Then hopefully my trans holds up for a year lol it's a fresh rebuild right now and I doubt it will see even 3k by the time I turbo.

You shouldn't expect any gains. A l67 making about 300hp made less than 5hp more going from stock manifolds to headers.

hv3 doesnt increase max hp by much, its gains are after 5000rpms where a stock l36 starts dropping hp, that where the benefits of a hv3 come in. but for driving around town you wont notice any benefits from a hv3.
and dont let the zzp dyno fool you, there dyno of the hv3 is with er rockers installed they have no dyno with a stock l36 car with a hv3

Im ok with that the upper rpm's is where I would like to feel some more power anyways. It was cheap enough so ill be happy regardless. Now my real question is, if I grab a 2.5 dp on black Friday will it be a improvement over the stock dp with u bend removed?

Not too much of an improvement. Save that money for when the cat goes bad.

I think there are some rockers for sale that would really wake up the upper rpms which would be much better use of the $ if you are looking to spend now.

    ER rockers in fact.

I think my cat will be good for a while I replaced the cat with a high flow unit when I did The u bend delete. Rockers are out of the question considering I have a gt1 cam sitting here waiting to go in.

    Ok. Cam trumps rockers.

What have you done for handling? You could get the GMPP sways for the cost of the DP.

I am stock in the suspension department, although it is mostly new, we did brakes, struts, tie rod ends , sway bar end links and lca's back in march. I would like to lower the car mainly in the front as even with new struts I have some sag in the rear and I'd love to give it a level look.

I would recommend saving for a top swap.

Well I just got my hv3 installed and I'm extremely happy, It gained some down low but just pulls harder and harder up to 6k. Definitely worth the 120 shipped I paid.
