I have 06 grand prix and it whines and must leak power steering fluid (I haven't found where) only when its cold out. Otherwise sounds and drives perfectly? At first I was adding power steering fluid but only takes VERY little but because of the very stupid place its at I am sure I am over filling but it works, drives great. Last time on recommendation I used lucas power steering stop leak and will be again today lol. Does anyone have any ideas that might help and maybe a reason why it only happens when cold out? Money is tight, am hoping not to have to bring it in.

My 06 Base was leaking PS fluid from the return line where it goes across the back of the subframe. Just rotten from being in the rust belt its whole life. I cut the rotten tube out and sleeved the line with rubber and 3 hose clamps on each end. So far so good. It only has to last the winter, and I'm selling/scrapping it.....
