Then why can't I find any examples about them increasing horsepower?

you did where? all i seen was one guys bs. and on corn. most of use are not on corn, so keep the topic to gas only. then do your s pulley drop on stock manifolds, please post all the kr, or the 8 degrees timing your running to keep it from knocking...........some peoples kids.

Why can't we use ethanol to address the real weakness? Really? Look at the post history at all the cars will full boltons running on gas and stock pulley with kr.

    Fix the problem. Don't bandaid.

You're new...otherwise you'd remember when no one had headers, and we still dropped pulleys.

I pulled the ypipe apart probably 2 or 3 times on my pacesetters with low 13 second power.

Also had a friend that pulled the y apart maybe 5 or 6 times. Clamped it. Welded it. Eventually it always pulled apart.

given that short rod engines like the SII are supposed to be better at resisting detonation than long rod engines, I find it annoying that they knock as much as they do.

my 04 gtp clone is tuned for no/little kr on 87 and it sorta sucks having 9* timing up top, but I rarely take it there since its my beater/parts/project crap hauler.

I sorta miss when it had the PS headers and it ran 87 without any problems with the stock 13*

corn cleaning off the carbon that contributes to preignition is its greatest side benefit....ethanol is damn near like running a tank of straight chevron with techron fuel system cleaner at 9$ a qt bottle x 13 gallons

properly misting fuel injectors can be worth quite a bit in power/mpg/timing

but ive installed way too many sets of headers without additional mods to know they do help, not nearly as much as an oem muffler delete maybe...but still quantifiable to my butt dyno

most PS Y issues are directly related to rear exhaust tension/hanger condition as well as engine movment. the 04 gtp clone had all urethane and engine movment was small enough that we deleted the flex.
the weight of the exhaust system pulling rearward along with the engine Tq'ng the header down don't make for a good chance at staying together.

at the same time zzp dun ****ed up by not making their nice ass headers V band instead of that tog bullshyt

Yes we can all post a picture of an engine bay with some random dude claiming that he had 300hp grand Prix without listing any of his current mods claiming that he only got 5 more hp out of his car with headers without even posting a dyno slip of the before and after. That proves nothing.
