hello, im having a rear brake pad issue on my 2005 GTP.

I am only getting about 5 weeks out of my rear pads before they are worn down to the metal backing plate. its only the inboard side pad but its happening on both the drivers and passenger side of the car. the outboard side pads will still look brand new. the caliper slide pins are good, clean and well lubed. I don't expect my calipers are bad just for the reason that's its happening on both sides of the car. what about my master cylinder or power booster? I do have a random misfire that a vacuum leak at the booster could cause. any thoughts would be great.

I would say either the e-brake cable is sticking, or your hoses are partially collapsed.

Are the front brakes working? Do they feel warm? Do the back brakes feel really hot? Smoking even? Sticking?

If you install the caliper without pads does it slide freely back and forth?

Is the e-brake applying any pressure?

The front brakes are fine and show normal wear. and yes the back brakes will burn the crap out of you after my 45 min drive to work. I'll have to see if the calipers slide freely without pads
