Whaaat?
So... Now weight reduction increases horsepower?Supercharged 3800 engine makes 240 HP @ 5200RPM, and 280 lb-ft of torque @ 3200RPM. It was weighed at the Recycling Center to be right around 2100 pounds (2300 -- my weight and tools (175 +)). Original Grand Prix weighed around 3400 pounds. If you do the math, the lighter trike has the equivalent power to the heavier Grand Prix with 420+ Horsepower!
This seems to be a lack of confidence in what he has built actually staying together.I reserve the right to only sell to a reasonably-responsible adult, as this is a very dangerous vehicle.
If you're still willing to risk your life in this thing, call or text for more details.
Lots of stripped down GTPs and Regals run insane times with basics like rockers and headers
yeah weight makes a huge difference
There's a huge difference between running "insane times" and claiming bull**** horsepower numbers.
You can't say that because you removed some weight that you gained horsepower by doing so. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
He did not claim he gained horsepower. He said it is equivalent to a full weight car at x power....
That's still a wild claim with no dyno sheet, or timeslip.

The only way to settle this is have a 420+ hp 2000 GTP 1/4 mile time, and compare it to this...thing. Lol
If car A runs a 15 at 2300lbs and car b runs a 12 at 1300lbs
both cars have 200 hp
another car with 420hp at 2300 lbs ran a 12 etc
**** it. Have a beer. Don't worry about something you ain't gonna buy![]()
The general rule of thumb is 100 lbs off equals a tenth of a second off, and every 10 hp gained equals a tenth of a second off.
Hes down 1400 lbs, which would equal about 1.4 seconds off, which means to get 1.4 seconds off a 260 hp engine would need to go up to 400 hp.
Ironic. Here's another 3800 abomination.
