pretty sure i used a 2.25. if you have stock pipes it needs to be cut and welded in cause clamping wont work on the stock pipes, they really are not round, more egg shaped. so a 2.50 or 2.25 would work in that case.

i had after market pipes already with slip joints. why its clamped.

save your self the grief. if you dont have a welder, just head to a shop. hand them your glass pack ask how much to replace the res with it. may as well just get it done right the first time.

That's why I'm waitin now till spring for the m90 install. ****s too hard to work on for that long outside especially If I start havin problems. I str8ened out my headlight racket to the frame and was gonna move onto the fender so I can get these skirts in door panels on but my hands were all froze up so I called it quits for the day. Besides, everytime I try n finish this **** I got something else messin up. I musta hit somethin in the road cause my resonator is leaking so bad it looks like I got a str8 tripple exhaust except craps comming out the back n on both sides of the damn car!

So a lil update. Got under the car to start measuring and I looks like a section post Res was replaced all the way to the first bend in the stock catback which is almost 24 in. Long story short that pipe is 2 1/2 in and completely round so it looks like imma be able to get away with clamping it in but will most likely have to buy 2 1/2 res and not 2 1/4. I'll post pictures when I get a final plan with what I'm going to do.
