02 GP gt. I was taking the door panel off and the plastic trim piece around the door handle broke off. It looks like it's riveted on? maybe?
I ended up just using some super glue and gluing it back on for now.

I did the same only with a trim glue thats more pasty... they dont need to be removed to take the door panel off so no worries just gluing it back on.
Happy modding!
They melt that trim piece to another so if you pry on it at all it breaks off.. i did the same thing to but i did it putting the door handle through it when putting it back on. used shoe goo lol
I pryed the panel outwards first enough to pop all the retainers out of the holes, and basically all the weight from the panel was resting against the door handle while I unplugged the tweeter wire behind it. That's when I seen the plastic trim piece around the door handle fall onto the ground. It wasn't until I put the panel back on that I realized that plastic trim piece is riveted on or something. I just know those little pins or whatever that were supposed to hold it in place are broken off and stuck in the holes that they go into. I know to move it around the door handle but I guess I wasn't thinking to watch out because it's plastic lol.
Shoe goo? lol maybe i'll use that if this fails some day.
I did the same thing on my drivers side panel. Some gel gorilla glue and all is well. Likely the panel will rip now before that trim piece comes off again. Then again this is a GP so anything is possible, lol.
There is a small black trim piece that runs along the top edge of the door panel. Mine had a crack and was glued. It also had staples in it. It cracked even more today from removing the panel. I just glued that too. But does anyone know if this can be replaced or is it a part of the door panel?
There is a solution for that. A different member on this site (jshow816) posted it up like 2 weeks ago. I will be doing this soon as part of my interior re-hab.

well after about going through 30 grand prix's at the junkyard, I finally found one that was perfect with no cracks. and snagged 2 more to have on hand - but those ones aren't perfect. they have mostly cracks in the black plastic around where the staples were, but the 'faces' are clean. i think i paid 30 cents a piece. almost all of these strips were already missing or broken in those jy cars...
my stapler didn't work today and I cant think of any other way making it stay on so I just glued this strip on with some super glue.
some of the grand prix's there had 275k miles on the odometer. One had 289k. I even saw one with 311k there. I felt happy to know that my car has 200k and still running strong with minimal rust in michigan lol.
