theres a diy here. open cone filter will cost you like 45 bucks tops. search cold air intake. theres a few ways to do it, in the bay, or out the fender well.

Pcm can just lay there, doesn't need to be covered

installed new intake .definitely abit noisey .i left the front of the old housing that hold the pcm mounted it w/ a self tapping screw and a zip tie to the cross brace seems secure .is there any reason i should take out the tray that holds the pcm .also whistles a bit at full throttle

Putting a cone filter can improve the sound but no significant hp gain.

That depends on your definition of "improve." Lol

I gutted my stock airbox. That's enough supercharger whine for me. The home depot or ebay ones will be noisier.

Edit: I should say that I am still considering a blue cone to dress the engine bay a little, even though it's louder.
