    I have an gp base with navigation unit, I want to install backup camera. Is there any way that I could install?

    i was looking this up for a friends truck, seems you would need to change the whole nav screen part, then theres another box to change, run the wires and mount the cam on the back.

    was not a cheap up grade really, ran around 6 to 800 iirc

    theres aftermarket back up cams.

    98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    Just get a new nav unit. I got a Jensen vx7020 for my gf Kia, and installed the system with backup, spent around 330...

    You would turn your head when you back up. That's free at least.
    03 GS - SSAC, AEM wb, PT,SR rockers, Gen 3, 3.4, dynotech trans w/ 3.29's.

    Instead of a nav unit you can look for a rearview mirror with a backup camera screen built into it

    the good thing about backup cameras is that you can see what's right behind your bumper. you can turn around and look all you want, but there is a blind spot there. it's kind of a safety thing, imagine all the little kids that wouldn't have been hit had a backup camera been installed and people had used them.
