What is the best battery I can get for my 99 GTP, and then what are my options for a lightweight? Thanks

I use duralast gold in my 05 GP GT, but as far as lightweight goes they do make lithium batteries but you're going to pay out the ass for them

Probably not worth the dough if I'm not even taking out the spare lol. Any particular reason you chose said battery?

It's what my family has used for ages, better cold crank amps and I use autozone for a lot of small stuff like that

    Read these too for opinions.

Just get whatever works and fits. I like interstate and napa legend batteries. They have a warranty and good CCA ratings. Trying to fine a lightweight battery is just dumb, what is 10-15lbs going to change.

Thanks for the links, I think it's worth mentioning I work at Goodyear (including right now ), I'll see what I can maybe get at a discount. I asked about the lightweight because if they were only $10 more or something why not

You usually lose performance with lightweight.

I've got an Everstart Maxx in my Grand Prix. Its got like 800 CCA if I remember right. 3 year free replacement too. I've seen people b!tch about them on various forums, including this one, and I have had mine for 4.5 years and so far no problem, so no complaints.

Another vote for interstate. It never fails me, and has good warranty.
