Can you run E85 fuel and regular gasoline with the AEM E85 HIGH FLOW IN-TANK FUEL PUMP?

Description says it can run any fuel but does that mean i can run E85 one day and then regular 93 octane the next day?

I know i would wanna stick to which ever fuel im tuned on but im asking hypothetically

It won't matter at all what fuel you plan to run, it's not going to harm the pump or do anything to it by switching fuels.

It's not normally a pump issue but the hoses/tubes break down with e85

Been on e85 for over a year. No hose breakage or issues. Pretty sure that's either a myth or not applicable to our cars.

As for pumps, X2 to ffdp. I've switched back a few times and it's as simple as changing the tune. Nothing changes pump wise.

Its definitely not a myth. I've seen people have issues where their car was actually spraying fuel out pin holes in fuel lines from not having e85 compatible lines.

I've only ever seen it eat o-rings and plastic snap fittings, but yeah it's not a myth.

That was kinda my point. I haven't heard of anyone in our platform having to do all that. I know all I did was change my injectors, fuel pump, rewire it, and tune it and it runs great. (Changed a few fuel filters too) This may not be the norm for older cars, but I think on ours that's pretty much sop.

Fuel lines are metal from the tank up, I run a e85 pump with compatible orings etc then changed any hoses that didn't come with the kit to e85 acceptable. There really isn't much to it. Depending on how old your car is and if you have a metal gas tank be prepared to change your fuel filter a couple times. But as far as I know you can use a e85 pump for regular gas as well its just a tuning issue

Right, so i can use a E85 pump with regular gas but not E85 with a stock fuel pump. Makes sense, im just making sure in case i switch back to regular gas i dont wanna have to change the fuel pump again.

If i do switch back to regular gas it'll be bc E85 isnt really available like that here in philly. We have it but u just have to find it

You can use the stock pump... problem is not enough injector...

BTW, I'm installing that same pump in about 3 hours.

**** the aem 320lph e85 pump. I would recommend the walbro e85 any day. Do some research, you'll find it's not the most reliable pump.

God dammit. Well most of the bad reviews I read were all fitment issues. The bad reviews that mentioned failures didn't seem to be able to write a legible full sentence so I kind of discredited them.
