I've been battling this issue since November of last year and I'm out of ideas of what could be wrong. The coolant hose rubbed up against the belt and caused a big gash in the hose. At first my car would stall after I would come to a stop without any warning, then when I started it up and shifted to reverse the car shut off, now where it won't even turn over anymore. I've changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, and tested the fuel injectors and they are fine. Also used a fuel system cleaner and sea foam on the car. The car only has 90,000 miles on it, Any ideas would be great thank you.

Update: Just changed the crank shift sensor, got the car to move up and down the street but went down a slight hill and it stalled when I came to see stop again without any warning, I also noticed some of the fuses and relays look Slightly brown. But none are ones that would cause stalling, I believe. Picture below.

Have you tried pulling codes? Did you do a CASE relearn after installing the new crank sensor?

We got no codes, only the injector back we took care of that, not too sure I had my mechanic handle the switch out for that, but that cause it to stall?

If your mechanic can't handle a CASE relearn then he is not a mechanic. Also people that install aftermarket crank sensors typically have problems. I installed a Autozone one on my Park Ave and it sputtered and threw a multiple cylinder misfire code and started flashing the check engine light within 20 miles of driving it.

Agree, but this is the same problem before the crank shift was even installed, That's the thing with mine my car, it doesn't have the check engine light come on and we still have no codes come up.

You need to have a device to monitor live data then. If you use an android device then you can buy a BAFX ELM327 module and monitor everything that the car will display, you might be able to catch something with that. That's on;y about $30 and will be the best $30 you have ever spent. Other than the things you listed have you ever had ANYTHING else happen, even something that doesn't seem related? For the car to just die is odd.

You mentioned that it was stalling on you then you mention that you couldn't even crank the engine over. Then you go and put a crankshaft position sensor in it and it will crank now.....what changed that allowed the starter to turn the engine over seems you left something out.

With a tech 2 scan tool or a tuner. There are other scan tools out there that will also do a case relearn. Typically they are pretty expensive tools.

I don't think it's related to the overflow hose leak if you have coolant in it.

Sounds similar to an ICM going bad. Do you have a spare one around to throw in and test? I had a bad one once and car would do a multiple of weird things. Stall out going 30, not start at times. Start perfect and run perfect at other times.
