    SD headers I see for about $230 but SPL were$799. Dayum. Are they that much better?

    They were suppose to be a no hassle product, good fitment and performance.

    They use higher quality metals for sure and were a name brand product, you always pay more for name brand items.

    SD's are china parts really, it just a copy with lower grade material and some fitment issues.

    a lot of us run sd headers, i got mine used, that way you know they fit already. new time to time theres cross over pipe issues, the nend is sometimes not made right.

    Nothing that can't be corrected with some muscle, however. I've had 3 sets, and I've gotten them all to fit. Generally, I put everything together loose, including the manifold bolts, then tighten down after all lined up.

    ya my cross over was a pain in the ass, we did what impala131, but the crossover cracked a littlebit where it connects to the front header, some rtv and band clamp got rid of the leak though.
