search the site with google, theres a few threads with free carfax, some work still some dont.

start the search with grandprixforums: free carfax.

I forgot to kention when i checked in the free sites earlier one mentioned it had a calculated 144xxx miles another one said there was a calculated 3 previous owners. Makes me wonder how accurate those could be, and theyre offering paid versions for "more" info.

not really, unless you got x ray vision, lol its been tested before it was pulled like the engine.

just make sure its the tranny for your year car. and a n/a tranny. the sc cars have a hd tranny with lower gears. your pcm wont like that gear change at all.

I did for $350. Had 87,000 miles on it out of a park ave ultra. Never had a problem with it. When I sold the car I had put another 20,000 miles on the JY engine.

My best chance is perhaps removing the oil cap and looking inside with a light

1,000 shouldn't be far from that

if it looks like chocolate syrup oil and kingsford carbon build up, I'd know it was duped

If it's truly that low miles you can tell. Clean spark plugs. Minimal oil buildup in the TB. Little carbon buildup in the EGR. PCV clean. Pulleys run smooth, tight, without noise or play or noticeable wear. No sludge buildup inside valve cover. Electrical tape connections not worn or heat damaged.

Gaskets may leak, hoses may dry rot or brittle, engine may be dirty from being outside, etc.

If it was me I would pull an oil sample and send it to Blackstone Labs. For $20-30 it's worth it.

Well hopefully ill get some more pics of what it looks like inside theyre supposed to dust it off tmrw and give it an inspection and take a look inside valve cover, did anyone who bought one carfax to see more info, did it actually have info or would an engine with such low miles show anything? Im looking for a total loss or wreck report that hopefully shows the mileage at the moment of crash.
