what am i looking at in the last pic? looks like a ball joint press but im not sure.
Thats exactly right. I just realized the ball joint is welded onto the arm..and i dont have a grinder to take em off.
be easier to just change the lower control arm. it comes will all new bushing and ball joint.
I see, I was just hoping it wouldnt be a 60 dollar fix.
bout a 100 for the pair shipped. buying them on line is way cheaper then local parts store.
Pulled one from a wreck for 20. This place is like heaven even saw a complete wiring harness from an 04. I pulled this one from an impala 04 I believe it's the same
Im almost sure ive got axles in the wrong place the driver side axle jams into the trans right before i could line up ball joint bolt with knuckle hole. It doesnt go far back enough just starts rocking the car back and forth. How frustrating..
I was right the longer axle goes on the passenger side, shorter goes on driver side. Can anyone else confirm i think i was getting the opposite earlier want to double check
That's what I was trying to tell you earlier.
You are welcome. Should be good from here on.
Yeah everything seems to be going pretty good so far. Im reconnecting the wiring harness back to everything, most seem to fall in place. I am a bit concerned about the positive and negative cables that attach to the starter, ac compressor, alternator and . I made a huge mistake by not taking pics before removing bolts and nuts on these. I remember theres a negative somewhere behind the air injection pump bracket as well. I cant make a mistake on these guys. Any diagrams or ideas?
Dammmm Scotty back-at-it-again with the exact info I need. thanks
its been covered before, i just stole all the pics from another thread.
