i come from a time where abs was your foot and knowing how to drive. abs adds countless feet to any abs activated situation.
Yeah but with a Grand Prix it's something that can be turned on or off. Why turn it off completly? That's what i like about it. When i feel i need it, it's on when i don't it's not. Simple as that.
Re: Anybody using this scanner?
you mean traction control? also worthless in the snow. you cant turn off the abs. not like on and off. disable it yes.
ive been on flat ground in snow with the tc on, car refused to move. turn tc off, get some wheel spin and off you go.
when my abs used to work, tc got shut off if there was a light drizzle. nothing worse then pulling out into traffic and the car not moving.
the whole system was created because people are pretty dumb these days and cant be trusted to know how to drive. look at the new cars keeps you in your lane, ( aka drunk driver mode) cars stop for you if your a sleep at the wheel. and so on.

You're right i meant traction control. Anyway i love having the option. My first car was a 86 Regal which i drove for 8 years so i know what it's like not having it at all.
Re: Anybody using this scanner?
Ok so it looks like they dont make the 9450 anymore. The 3209 I posted says it will read and display ABS and airbag codes, the 9450 says it will read, display and erase those codes. Now to find the current version of the 9450. These guys have every model ever made on their website, and you cant easily tell if its a current or past model.
Apparently OTC was bought by Bosch back in 2013 and now they are starting to brand everything Bosch instead of OTC, so OTC branded stuff is on closeout. Scanner I posted is an sale at one of my tool sources for $100, anout half price.
