In my 05 GP GT my drivers seat as low as it goes is still too high, since I've gotten the car I've grown a little over an inch and my head is starting to brush against the headliner and my dad when he sits in the passenger seat has to basically lay down because of how high these seats sit. How if at all possible do I make the seats lower?

If you are already as low as they get, you can't really make things any lower.

I don't think you could even make custom brackets and rails because then things would sit too lower and not let the seat motors work anymore.

I'm 6'6", and looked at the same thing. There isn't really any room left to go down, unless you want to punch a hole in the floor and get into some extreme stuff.

I tilt my seatback until my head doesn't brush the roof any more. I drive about 150 miles per day, and it works out good enough.

Lol I'm 6'5" and have the same issues. Was commenting the other day that i think the roofline in the coupe is lower than the sedan, at least it feels that way.

That he is. If the seat were lower, the next complaint might be of your knees having to be too straight. Maybe what's needed is a swap to 97-03 seats. Ha ha that's a joke. Anyway, a person with sufficient inclination and very basic fab skills could lower the seats but a primary concern would be to not take away any strength.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

My head brushes just about on my parent's '07, taken my hat off more than a few times, lol. Whereas in my '99 I'm on the freaking floor. The non-sunroof LaCrosse that I drove for a while was perfect, but that's probably because it didn't have a sunroof and the LaCrosses don't slope as quickly or as much as the 7th gen GPs roof-wise. Guess ya just can't have it all. xD

You could always do a foamectomy, take the seat cover off and cut out an inch or so of foam, worked wonders for headroom for me in the miata.

I have modified brackets in my car for the Corbeaus. There really isn't anything you can take out of the brackets to lower them, maybe a 1/2".

There's always finding exactly where you want the seat and bolt it straight to the floor lol.
