Only going so far with 1.9's on a stock cam, irrespective of using a Turbo and even then will go a helluva lot further WITH a cam designed to take advantage of the setup. I know this is in contrast to what you said you want, but you aren't really going to get much, let alone on boxed tunes, without going to true power adders...

$2,500 is enough to get moving, but might be conservative if you discount the need to upgrade certain Transmission parts that'll break when you push the HP.

seeing as you already have some things taken care of, I would suggest:

    definitely CAM
    worked heads, StageII min.
    fuel pump rewire
    genV
    N* TB or ported TB
    tuner
    then pulley down...

E85 should not be dismissed so lightly if available in your area... Running 110 octane negates the need for any IC simply by using larger injectors and tuning for it.

anyways, make a build page and keep things going, let us know on your decisions and updates. We like pics too, lol. : )
Overkill BBC Cam, YT 1.8 RR's, Rhodes Lifters, STGII Heads, GenV, Pacesetters, 3" Exh to Tips, TEP Trans. N*, ID 75# injectors/E85 coming soon

Already have HPTUNERS, and I have a 05 so Gen V is taken care of , no N* since 05+ is electronic tb. I will look more into the e85 route and possibly some heads as well in place of the intercooler

I only have around 3 stations with e85 near me (within 25 miles) and i just keep my tank above 1/2. I also have a 5 gallon can sitting in my basement (with a stabilizer) for the rare occasion i may need to get to a station and let my tank go empty.
