I have similar problems with locking my car, a 2008 Grand Prix: the previous problems with the key fob were solved in general by purchasing a keypad from keylessfix.com. HOWEVER, not only do I have trouble LOCKING the car with the remote, I also often cannot lock the car using the switches on the doors, themselves. I actually have to go around to each door and MANUALLY lock them. I can easily UNLOCK my doors using the remotes or the door switches, and I can hear the car make clicking noises as it is trying to LOCK the doors, but only once in about 100 tries does it actually lock...and, yes, IT DOES SET THE ALARM 100% of the time, so my wife and I wind up opening the door and setting off the alarm...too frequently. Help, anyone?
