You know the html format <s>TEXT</s> can put a line though text... It would be convenient for price drops in for sale posts, editing posts where you want your original content to remain, even though a correction may be made, etc. What's one more fancy button, right?

for the time it'd take to add the feature, why not just type [sold], (price drop), etc.?

Because the feature could be used more than once, and it's about a 5 minute install. I'm surprised this forum wasn't set up for it already.

For a vBulletin board, you can add strikethrough as a custom BB code via the Admin CP:

1. In your AdminCP, go to Custom BB Codes and click Add New BB Code
2. Enter the following info in the appropriate fields:
Title: Strikethrough
Tag: Strike
Replacement: <s>{param}</s>
Complete the rest of the fields as you like (to be honest, I believe the only field that you "must" set up as I've described is the "Replacement" one, as that's the one that tells vBulletin what html code you want to use for this bb code).
