This mainly pertains to the classified section but would be a nice feature every where. There may be people on here besides mods and admins that can do it but i know i cant and i know for a fact a lot of other people can't either. I think it has something to do with the permissions that are allowed for us regular users.

Example: Changing - FS: Brand new FWI- TO - Price reduced!! FS: Brand new FWI

You can edit the main title.

If you click on the "Edit" in the first post, it will allow you to edit only the post, however if you click on "Go Advanced" it will open another screen and allow you to change the title of the post as well as the Prefix.

I thought that too, but it just edits the title in the thread on top of your first post. The main title still remains the same. I have that problem on a couple forums. One of the forums you can't edit your posts after a certain amount of time....updating sales really sucks on that site.

    Main title:
Garage sale: fog lights, door lenses, spoiler, trunk mat, hoods, vents, fill caps, etc.

Updated title at top of first post:
Garage sale: door lenses, spoiler, trunk mat, hoods, vents, fill caps, etc.

correct. same with me. It only edits the title of the first post. not the main title that everyone can see after they click the classifieds. but instead after they click your thread. I think it works for some people and some it doesent. I had to get a mod to chage a title i had in the classifieds just not to long ago actually. I also talked with scotty about it. so he understands what im talking about.

perfect example...i edited the main title by going advanced on this post...now look what happend. Look at the first post. the title now says This doesent work. But the main title of the thread says ***FIXED Editing Main Titles. see what i mean...now on the other hand you did edit the main title somehow. Like i said i think it has something to do with the permissions that we are granted.

I see your point...let me do a little digging and see what I can come up with.

FYI...I changed the title back and did a test, and it appears that Admins and possibly Moderators can change the titles. In the mean time, report the post that you want changed and we will change it. I know its a PITA, but I will look for a permanent fix thats better.
