SyntheticShield, I sent you a PM on this one, but some may not even know about it yet. The 4 picture limit per post pretty much makes it impossible to do a decent write-up. I was going to add pics to my "Water in the Floorboard" thread, but have a few more than 4. Only 640x480 though, so not huge by any means.

I understand the logic behind it, but it may be better handled as a rule. Say... no more than 4 pics per post, unless it's a write-up. Max image size 000x000.

Just an idea, not asking you to change the rules for me but I think a lot of people are going to have trouble with this in just about any tutorial write-up they post.

I got your PM, and we'll see if anything can be done about the picture limit. One option is to just create consecutive posts, each with the four images (if thats possible, I havent tried to upload that many images). If not, do the write up in a Word Doc format and then email it to me and when we get the How To section going, I'll get it posted there.

Here's the exact message you get when you try to post. Even if they are hosted somewhere else. Thanks.

You have included 11 images in your message. You are limited to using 4 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the vB code [img] tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.

Cool, thanks for that info. I dont know what can be done about that just yet. We'll do what we can, but the best option at this point may be to just put it all in a MS Word Doc and call it a day. I can convert from there other formats, including pdf.

Yeah, I ran into the same problem when posting my '4" FWI' write up.

I am still over the limit for my 05 GXP to 97-03 GP seat swap write up (61 images, limit 10) and more than 2000 characters over on text limit (12450, limit 10000). I tend to get as detailed as possible to cover any questions that may arise and cut down on necessary responses or repetitive questions. Sorry may be excessive.

Also is there gonna be more to the Appearance/body section? There's "maintenance" areas, but no real appearance stuff. Maybe an exterior/interior or mods section. That has always been my main areas of posting appearanc, general, and wheels/tires/suspension.

LowlyfeGTP, you have come to the right place or at least met the right person. I LOVE detailed how-to's. If you have that wrote up in some type of document form, could you send me that how to? Email it to syntheticshield AT cableone DOT net. We have been making a how-to/modification area behind the scenes and will have it on line in the near future. I'll make sure your how to gets there if you will send it to me. Be sure to include your name and screen name.

With regards to the Appearance/Body sections. If you'll hang out a bit, Im sure we'll have things like that hammered out. We've all been pretty busy with full time jobs and trying to build parts of the website and taking care of minor issues that come up here and there. Couple that with all the power outages in the area, well you get the idea.

We'll look into the sections you mentioned and see what we can do. That said, please, if you dont see anything done, remind us. We can at least let you know whats going on.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Chris!

SyntheticShield, I'll either work on getting my write-up sent out to you or post it up on here. Might take a little bit, I completely understand the time constraints (Work two jobs, trying to start my own business, 3year old and wife, and life in general). I should be able to get it over Christmas shutdown though. Thanks for your time.
