I think i have a fix for it. keeping up with hacks on these forums is a daily issue.

I was just about to make a new forum on this cause I've been seeing it for a few weeks now. Here is what I've found. I use firefox with no script. If I do a save and exit, next time I open most of the Grand Prix Forums pages will load fine, but some will load as these dollarade or filestore pages instead. If I try typing in the address of the GPF site and attempt to access it directly, I'll get redirected to these 2 other sites. In using google search to access the site, I'll get redirected 2 or 3 times till it works to get to the GPF site. The exact site url's are the following: "http://dollarade.com" (Dollarade.com - The Highest paying Flash Based Advertising Network on the Web) "http://myfilestore.com/download.php?id=639FZE60" (FILESTORE.COM) I haven't seen the redirects in a few days so Rocket might of fixed the issue. I'll post again if it comes back.
Edit: I had to place the url's in "" so they don't turn into links and someone accidently clicks on them. I placed the URL descriptions in ().

I gotta say that I would have died laughing had it redirected to a Ford forum. Terrorism at its best I'd say.
PS- For you Chrome users, if you can Blockit or something similar extensions-wise, you can blacklist the page it redirects to. It'll simply fail to load it when you it tries to cut in on the page that's supposed to load (GPF obviously) and you can simply back up and try again without worrying about the obviously stupid hosting page or whatever the hell that is loading instead of your beloved GPF!
Have fun.

Its still doing it -_-
Still happenin from time to time. Google is the only way I can search this site for MAF, O2, TPS, or any other 3 letter or less words.
Here is the code workaround:Use YUI 2.82 (or 2.9.x)
vBulletin 4.x currently ships with an outdated version of Yahoo User Interface (version 2.7.0). You can simply replace 2.7.0 with 2.9.x without any problems (2.8.x has a number of bug fixes, and so does 2.9.x).
The easiest way to do this is to go to Settings -> Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options and make sure your Use Remote YUI setting is set to use Yahoo or Google remote hosting. Then edit your includes/class_core.php file and change this line:
PHP Code:
define('YUI_VERSION', '2.7.0'); // define the YUI version we bundle
to this:
PHP Code:
define('YUI_VERSION', '2.8.2'); // define the YUI version we bundle
Btw:Just trying to help our fellow OP so we dont get redirected anymore due to haxcked code script....Hope this helps.....
Its still doing it, maybe more so now. Did you try moddman's fix yet? I don't work in server software, but it sounds good.
There might be more to the fix...Here goes the info I found @vbullentin forums...Hope this helps our admin fix the mobile version of the GPFNT site....
"Well I can tell you from personal experience that it most definitely IS applicable to 3.x and I believe it is also to 4.13.
Among other things, vB 4.13 is still using version 2.7.0 of the YUI despite the fact that the latest YUI is 2.9.0, and Yahoo is clearly advising users of the libraries to upgrade to at least 2.8.2."
To check out the GPFNT mobile site on your pc using firefox follow these instructions here:h**p://www.ismashphone.com/2008/05/using-firefox-w.html
You will see that the mobile site of this forum still gets redirected to that filestore2 website.....Try it out to see.

X2 It is back to doing it on my home pc as well. Looks like it will be a normal occurrence with this forum until further notice from a "fix" being applied......??? I tried to research and help our admin....but maybe there's more to it than the vbulletin forums are saying.....I thought it sounded legit ...we shall see what the outcome is of this pesky outdated code that is plaguing our good ol' grandprix forum.
There is a upgrade to the vbulletin 3.85 this forum uses......to see the version in firefox just right-click on any page in this forum then select page source then scroll thru the data to see the used version.....but the fix is either to upgrade to the new vBulletin 4.1.4 or just apply the fixes that are posted on the vbulletin...dot*org site which I convieniently posted a few posts above.............

I get redirected to my filestore a lot..both on my laptop and my iphone
Its happening to everyone!
I have noticed google redirects both on my work and home computers. It starting happening about 8 or 9 days ago. It redirects to some video service site for something but only happens once and then rest of the day it is ok.
I could understand it happening on my work computer, the thing is a joke, but my home computers are ultra clean and well protected.
There is a fungus amungus
Geddy or Rocket please fix this. Upgrading the version of vBulletin is a good start. Does any of the advertisements go through those 2 sites? Sometimes it's the advertisements that have adware. I work in IT if you need any help.
This is actually the reason I registered, randomly came across the site and noticed the SEO bug, I'm a forum owner myself, I'd imagine the site getting major traffic drop off because of this (not to mention actual seo rankings because it is a redirect). If owner wants to hit me up I'll help em out to fix this.
It is official..... the google redirect is gone completely from mobile phone browsers and all PC browsers. Anybody who gets it is pulling your chain....If it happens in the future here is a tool that has helped other vbulletin users.

Though out of curiousity........did any of the fixes posted help...??
And, it's back. Dollarade.com today
