Just a suggestion, maybe we could break up the general tech discussion into performance and stock repairs. Just some clarity for noobs looking for only repair threads.

Sounds like a good idea, maybe even throw in some routine maintenance too.

The n/a and S/c sections have little meaning imo.

it would just make searching a bit easier, but organizing all of it could take some time though

How so? I figured when people have are trying to complete an engine task, or diagnosing a problem, they should post in the correct engine section. In such a case it's a "unique problem" rather than "what does an intercooler do".

c'mon, if you dont know curious george then you were born in the 90s.

also, this suggestion doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. i believe general tech should be just that, general tech. it is not performance that is certain to a specific motor (supercharged or not) as well as issues that deal with the overall platform that doesnt fit in the visual/suspension/wheels sections.

i get what you're saying, but there isn't a good way to break it out right now.

We could archive the old threads publicly then start with the new ones.

It seems to me that the current problem is that in the general tech section we have the people asking about what this ticking noise is right next to someone asking which set of headers to buy. Maybe it would be more appropriate to designate the engine, transmission, suspensions, etc... sections as aftermarket and call the general tech discussion something more aimed at stock repairs for those short term members looking for a quick fix.
