    FastKatt,
LET IT GO! He has higher priority things like fixes to the new site and getting the chatbox up and running. I don't know why this is becoming a fight. I understand why you feel how you do, but Rocket said he would get to it when he can.

If Rocket doesn't want to waste server space on tapatalk, he doesn't have to, it's his site and his server space. As far as I'm concerned, Rocket has done a damn good job at maintaining this forum for the amount of activity it gets.

My Name is Billy, Katt, or FastKatt. I'm not your "bud"...
To tell the truth, I didn't know the site had a chatbox...
Without a checklist of what you all are working on, how is anyone to know where the "upgrades" stand?
If you aren't going to install the app, just ban me. I'll know where I stand.
If you are going to install it, then give us a timeline so we know where we stand.

As it is, I'm only here when I see replies to this and maybe 1-2 other topics.

The ball is in your court. I'm just looking for an answer.

That's the problem FastKatt, you're looking for an answer from someone who doesn't owe you one.

How would Flip act if you were talking to him like this?

Flip bends over backwards to make everyone feel like a family member...
When he was asked about Tapatalk, it took less than an hour for it to be added to the site.
Same thing when a few of us asked about an electronics modding thread...
So, Flip would act like a "big brother" and step up.
Flip wouldn't let it get to this.

Alright, I'll be "big brother" for you then.
Flip probably didn't install tapatalk the same day he installed a whole new forum layout.
These things take time, I know from my personal experiances finding the smallest issues in a site can take hours, sometimes days.
You just picked a bad day to bring it back up, because Papa Rocket had a long day working on fixing the issues with the new layout today.
Do you want me to contact you on GPONA when its working?

I have had nothing but many bad run ins with flip. Just like his buddy rkelec. I think between both of them i have banned em 15 times. I have never been banned of there forum. Seriously. both just love to create issues, and well they have nothing better to do with there time i guess. Rkelec was 3-4 pages up in this very same thread and his rants corsponded with yours. So i figured you wanted to make it a trio with both of them. I know your buddys with em so i feel going into it you just trying to stir the pot. I apologize if that was not your intention.

I been saying it for years, I don't get on their forum and start issues. I have no issues with them coming on here. I Just have issues with them when they act like douches on here.

I know them, but I'm not "buddies" with them...
I explained what I'm upset about & what I'm waiting for...
I'd like to know when it is implemented, either in this topic or on GPONA.
If it's never going to be done, that's fine too... Not "my" forum... But let us know?

As nice as tapatalk is i dont really see it as a necessity. for the most part i can browse this site pretty well with my EVO 4G, albeit with a little scrolling from side to side but that is really no big deal. Being a network admin the only time i am not within 42" of a computer is when i am driving to or from work and even then the computer is still sitting next to me, i just cant use it.

If you are having so much trouble viewing this site from your smart phone you need a better phone or a better browser on your phone.

this doesnt need to be an argument, arguments lead to locked threads at best and deleted threads with banned users at worst, is tapatalk really worth all that?

rocket was busy with the coding for all of this new glorious software you are playing in right now. sure, adding tapatalk might have been easy, but when everything needed to be removed, then reloaded onto the new software then what is the point of putting it on in the first place? short answer, there isn't a point. we will get to it.

i know you're a good part of this community and it should stay that way, but cool your jets for 5 seconds while everything gets situated.

I have a smartphone for the apps...
I have no need for a browser to read forums with a kickass app like Tapatalk.
Tapatalk takes all the fluff out of a forum page & gives you the main post text.
Fast, clean, and easy! I can click threw my list of forums & get my fix in a matter of minutes, when I'm on the road.
That isn't going to happen using the Opera Browser on my Bionic. Even in 4g/LTE
I'll just not hang-out here, til it's added. No worries... My issue was/is with the lack of knowing what's up

I'm fine, if I'm not banned I assume it's because Tapatalk is coming...
I'm subscribed to maybe 4 threads, 2 in OT and 2 maybe 3 in the main forum.
When I check my email, and see updates to those threads I click threw.
As for the "glorious software I'm playing in"... I don't have the time, so I don't see it.
I'm staying subscribed to this thread, so I'll see a reply once Tapatalk is added.
If I stop getting notifications to topic updates, I'll know I'm banned because Tapatalk isn't coming.
If there is an updated timeline, it would be nice to see it posted here as well.
    Thanks!

What I find funny are the BS excuses about waiting to update the site before adding anything. Anyone who has EVER worked with vB would know that this site is pretty much the standard script with very few intensive scripts that require 40+ hrs of "tweaking" to get right. If that is the case, then obviously the admin here is in way over his head and can't admit it. In fact, without really digging into the site, the only apparent mod seems to be the chatbox.

And seriously, any and all mods are simply a matter of copy/pasting into the proper files, so it's not difficult (most even have install scripts by now). If it takes him 40+hrs to come up with this basic vB layout, I highly doubt he's doing any special tweaking of his own, definitely doesn't look like it. The addition of tapatalk would not have added much time at all to any upgrade as you're already messing with the files anyway, adding a couple lines of code while you're in there would take a minute or two.

The fact is he just doesn't give a ****, probably doesn't bother checking this forum when he's out of the house (which seems to be the case given noone could contact him), and wants to do as little as possible with the site as he draws in the advertising money. Of course he has to make everyone think he's actually making an effort, and comes up with the obvious lie of how much time he spent on an upgrade that takes any competent forum operator a couple hours at most, and only if they run into problems.

That said, I don't use this site, likely never will, but saw a link to this thread and had to comment. and for the record, it still took GPONA 7 months to add Tapatalk after I initially requested it, but at least they added it.

Oh for god's sake's people. The admin of this site has a business to run too.

I have personally talked to Rocket on the phone and by IM this past week. He's poured alot of time and money into this site and continues to do so monthly. I'm sure it makes him feel real good by everyone criticizing and bickering about Tapatalk.

Yes I want Tapatalk just as much as you all do but give the guy some slack he's been working on this since Saturday trying to make it right. Not everyone's super dooper Computer Wizards that dabble with vB every day. I'm an IT guy personally. It's what I do for a living. But if you don't mess with something everyday it takes time to remember how to do it ect. The site will be full functional eventually. Until then please chill the hell out!

I hope you feel bigger Shadow96SE for saying you don't use this site and never will. No one really cares! The only thing you've contributed to this site is ignorance and bickering. So GTFO!

This bickering is childish. It's not just getting the code right and running with that, it's also the constant tweaking to keep it running smoothly. Right now we have over 21,000 registered members, 360 people online at the moment. Compared to GPONA right now at 4,000 registered and 3 online at this moment (2 of them being bots), it's easy to please a few of your friends, it's not that simple to please the masses.

Rocket has 2 chatboxes running right now that only the moderators/admins can see for testing before the chatbox is fully in place, because he's having issues with the server/bogging down which also isn't free. Then there a ton of other requests that require some time and tweaking as well. Everyone knows that a good way to fail is to make a ton of changes at once, so let it run it's course.
