I don't even know if this is possible, but is there any way that we could get the chat at the top of every page? I want to read the forum posts and not lose track of good chat convo at the same time.

Kind of like being able to monitor boost and knocking retards at the same time.

    ...use two different tabs/windows?

i'm sure the coding required for such a thing wouldn't be worth it whatsoever. in five years, it'll be more widespread than just facebook. wait 'til then.

on the home page. there is a BLACK swooping arrow that go's from right and loops and comes back to the left.

click that, it will open a seperate page, just for the chat. then you can just switch between the pages

the reality is that it would be completely annoying for it to be on every page. more people would hate it than people would like it, and that's a fact.

My car club forum has the chat on top of every page. It was cool for the first couple pages.. then got annoying cause I had to keep scrolling down to get it out of the way. And from what I was discussing with the owner of the forum, it slows the website down majorly.

Yes it would, it would be substantially slower because everyone that is logged in on the forum in at least 1 tab/thread (I tend to run a couple; home, chat, and multiple threads at once) would be sending and receiving for just the chat box. Not just load the current page, no more data sending/receiving, but constant, from every thread, from everyone logged in... that's alot of packets coming and going
