so i was thinking after talking to a few people that a donation be made, after selling something on here?

i came up with the idea after thinking of newspapers and how oyu have to pay them in order for your classified ad for the stuff your selling to be printed.

im not saying that we should requre that a donation be made but more or less wondering it should be strongly suggested that a donation be made as a way of saying thanks for the help to sell my ____(car, parts, etc)__ .

This is actually a pretty good idea. Wether it be a dollar or a hundred dollars...every bit helps!

Thats just plain why people donate in the first place, for the things the forum helps them with.
You couldn't really require it, or even put it in writing.. Especially since the forum provides a means not the way.

Shouldn't this just be a given? I think if it was mandatory or even if it was just heavily frowned upon if you didn't people would just go to the "other forums" to sell stuff out of spite... But again, it should be a given. Cause would anyone seriously expect to sell a set of ported heads or a cam on craigslist? I know if my city there is almost no 3800 crowd so I know without this site I would never sell my ****... Therefore I donate, but to those that are hard up and are selling cause they really need the money or for those that are just stingy they shouldn't be ridiculed cause that will just loose the site traffic. For instance at this minute there are 36 viewing the FS section and I doubt any other section on here has a quarter of the viewers...

^^ pretty much what I wanted to say, you just elaborated on it a bit more.
Personally never done any selling, plenty of buying(too much honestly).. So hopefully they've donated some of my money.

    I dont sell things here.

You americans have funny ideas about selling things...

I also find it amusing that people who haven't donated are suggesting ways to generate income...
