any interest in setting up IRC channel?

anyone know or remember what IRC/mIRC is? i use to use it alot back in the day for many reasons, one of which was d/l anime and movies as well as softwares. i dont think it takes alot to set up a chanell after finding a workable server to connect to. this would allow alot of users and members to chat in real time as well as just chattnig for fun on alot of topics.

I remember our local chatroom was ran on mIRC. But that was like over 9yrs ago! lol
