What about a minimum post count before we can be allowed to start selling things in here. This is now the second case where someone has been ''ripped off'' that the seller has had like a post rating of under 30. I was thinking a post count of like 25 maybe?

Then again it would not be right to punish the good people out there also.

    Just a suggestion

I think it would be a good idea if not for the fact, as you pointed out, that it would punish those that do things the right way and uphold their end of the bargain. This was the whole point to the iTrader being added to the site, for people to use it. If someone has no iTrader points here, then the potential buyer should ask for references or some type of way to prove they are dealing with an honerable person.

I will also add, as harsh as it may seem, that there are rules in the classified section that essentially states that the user uses the classified section at their own risk. I will and have tried to intervene in the past where I thought I could help, but the ultimate responsibility is with the buyer and seller.

I dont know of any fair system that could be put in place that would ensure that those selling are good sellers and can be trusted in all transactions.

Yeah I have also noticed that a lot of people who do sell (and have not had any problems) only are here to do so.One post then there gone. I know we are here for everyone...whether it is one post or 10,000. But I know there are a lot of people out there that are just out there to steal. And not help ANYONE.Thats why i figured i'd mention this. If it were me and i was trying to do this then i would not want to sit here and make 30 post's before i could try to take someone's money but instead i would try and go else where that did not have this rule in place. What it boils down to is yes if we sell or buy then it IS at our own risk. But I think the majority of us on here are good natured people and like you said we try to help if we can. Maybe by doing this it will help some.

Just kind of a discouragement I guess for people only here to do that kind of thing..

Yeah, I hate to hear about such things happening here. I try to believe the best of people and it is nothing short of utter disappointment to hear there are people amongst us that have no value of honor and trustworthiness. Those are currencies in which if I were to ever hit solid rock bottom I could build a life upon again and rise from the ashes with so to speak and I would not trade them for anything. But alas there are some brought up that do not understand this concept and thus will think nothing of taking actions that are contrary to such values.

I wish it were possible to regulate such things, but it is not and the best you can do individually and as a community is to lead by example and hope that others see these actions and that they in fact mean something on a personal level to such a point that one lives by them under all circumstances and hopefully that in itself will change minds and actions of others.

I think it's a good idea, but that won't keep them from doing what ever number set in bogus post just to get them where they need to be. Then we're right back at square on again. Would there be any way to put a feedback section fpr the seller. Kinda like how ebay is set up to where one can read the dealings each person has. Could be done with the buyer also. If there isn't already something like that. I don't spend much time in the classified section. Maybe one each persons member page. Theres the couple tabs at the top to see info on the member, can another be added for feedback? Just a thought.

Thats what the iTrader does. You can leave positive and negative feedback both seller and buyer, link to the thread where the item was sold, give your thoughts on the deal and so forth.
