Thread: Rusty Black 1998 GTP Coupe $500 In IL

If any one wants or needs a 1998 GTP here it is.
This thing runs pretty well. Rust is everywhere. this car is not safe to drive.
The body is done. i am pretty sure the passenger control arm is cracked.
its got most everything a gtp coupe comes with minus heated seat and cd changer
it is a complete car minus the mufflers and any body trim that has rusted or fallen off.
only the drivers wiper works and radio has been deleted. If want it for the spare tire its gone.
It will drive a very short distance before the trans acts like it is neutral.
You can turn it off and restart it and drive it again.Its like the trans filter gets clogged or something.
it has and will make it onto a trailer to be hauled off.
i do have a friend that will haul it for a fee depending on distance.
Its going to go one way or the other.
If it does not sell in a few days I am going to pull the engine and trans to keep and send the rest (i mean rust) to the scrapper for $300 bucks.

This not so fine automobile can be yours for $500 i can not take any less. unless it is motor-less.

my son drove this car and i wish it could talk so it could tell me what happened.

Sounds to me like a plugged trans filter.

Yeah a pan drop and new fluid would help.
I am not putting any more $$ into it.

I don't have time to part it out myself and got to many cars at my shop.
some scrapper guy looked and said he would give me 300 for the shell after i pull the windshield, engine and trans.
that pays for the windshield guy to pull it and put it in my 97.

Told my son he had to buy his own car to replace it.
Maybe he will take care of it since its his.
its a parts car that will drive up on a trailer and off now.
