    Please let me know if I can post a note in general discussion to mention this post.

    I am cruising Craigslist locally but am looking for a rust free southern car versus a potential northern rust bucket. I am willing to pay someone for their time to help me find one and to physically look it over to find anything obviously wrong with it.

    It’s going to cost me to ship it so my price limit is ~ $3,500.

    Wish list;

    2001-2003 GTP possibly GT
    < 100K miles
    4 Door
    Charcoal Leather

    White would be ideal but am open to color, there might be a couple of colors I don’t care for.
    I plan on building it back up to and past my old ’00 GT and am looking for a solid car.

    thanks, but I really want a 4 door for practicality, it looks like it has cloth seats and I am weary of the '97 transmission.

    If you would do 4K I'd sell you mine, but needs a torque converter and has tan leather interior.

    I seem to remember the '97 did have a weaker trans, can't remember why.

    I know this doesn't meet all your standards but is a nice car nontheless and might be worth looking into

    2001 GRAND PRIX GTP 2DR

    *edit* hell I'd even sell you my car (98 GT 53K well taken care of only rust on the rockers) so I could buy the one I linked.

    ya that's why I said doesn't meet all his standards but for a SE maybe he'd change his mind.

    I find it rare to see a 2 door special edition in good condition with great mileage

    Well above the price range, but 84k. The interior can always be swapped out too.
