Made up a couple off board rigs that work with both 96-03 and 04-08. These allow you to tune in the comfort of your own home.

Both are located in West Springfield MA. Shipping is $10 per unit.

Offboard A $30 plus shipping: Does not have an on/off switch or PC power cord. Add a power cord and you are all set.

    SOLD: #2 pictured below.

Sorry guys, I won't hold or honor "dibs".

    LOL Josh.

Power supplies are often free from old pc's. Only things to pay for are connectors, time and some tape/solder/knowledge. Connectors ran me more than I hoped. Darn old grouchy guy at the JY.

They should work with anything tuner wise... the psus have a steady high amperage voltage regulator so it shoupd be better flashing on these than anywhere.

I have been able to blow up a hpt if it was plugged into anything but a laptop running on battery though so might want to ask hpt if their junk hardware will self destruct.

Scott (DH), I use my HPT and an off board all the time. The only thing HPT tells you not to do is use a power inverter in a car to power a laptop. Something odd about the way it grounds. Meanwhile DHP never has a problem with that.. but then you are loading a tune for years..so you gotta do something for power.

They also warn against a battery charger plugged i to the same power grid as your laptop (which killed mine and wasnt covered by warranty).

They also void warranty against using a 12v power supply for a laptop while hpt is plugged in and they also warn against using a battery charger at all.

Lance..Technically you don't need any switch. A simple plug in or unplug is the same as the switch.

Scott (DH) - Yeah.. they do seem to void warranty on anything power related. I've only ever had one issue though
