After much debate, I have decided to save for my turbo build and sell some parts to help generate the funds.

I have modded 1.9 rockers from ZZP.

Will include modded 1.9 rockers, modded pedestals, and BRAND NEW Intense Racing reusable rocker bolts. Everything you need to bolt the setup in and go.

$270 shipped + PayPal fees for everything.

Let me know if you have questions.

    Thanks!

Definitely good for more power but I'd rather use the $$ for the build and try not too get too far in over my head. Rocker + turbo + E85, I will likely be able to make way more power than my tranny can take.

Ha, you got me! I will probably be selling several other parts as well to free up funds for the turbo setup. After doing more research this weekend and planning, it is just the route I want to go. Want to put a setup together without an intercooler to start and see how I can do at the strip. Probably going to go with a $150 turbo off Amazon and see how far I can get.

Hoping so. Letting the thread lock and gasket sealer sit overnight to harden, then going to fire it up late morning and see how it does

What did you need thread lock and gasket sealer for on a rocker install?

Put red thread lock on rocker bolts. Put RTV gasket former on the coolant elbows to make sure they resealed properly

Rtv on the elbows seems like a bad idea and a huge PITA if you have to pull that bracket off again, unless they were cringing about the thread lock.

Rule of thumb is anytime you get in there and have to remove the elbows always replace with new ones unless they are aluminum. I hope they don't but, chances are they are going to leak. The silver lining is, you won't be the first person to experience that joy.

Soooooo... Are the use of thread lock and/or the RTV only bad from an assembly/reassembly standpoint if I wanted to change stuff in the future? mainly wondering if I should be concerned about any performance or operational issues with using those adhesives. Thanks!

Like stated above unless the coolant elbows are aluminum replace them if removed (very cheap part).... Should seal fine with the O-rings alone.

Red thread locker should only be used on things you don't plan to EVER take back off. The blue thread locker would have been a great choice for your rocker bolts, that stuff works well and not nearly as hard to remove after curing. Operationally ur elbows will probably leak.... The rockers should be fine (have fun getting those bolts back out tho)

The coolant elbows are aluminum. Was going to replace them with bee aluminum ones but ZZP was out of stock. Just decided to add some RTV and hope for the best. Maybe I made a bad choice
