What do you mean the crank is different?

The LS4 block is the same size from 2005-2009.

If I had to guess I would assume he's talking about the fact that the crank reluctor wheel on an 07 up is 58x, while an 06 is 24x and the cam timing wheel is a 4x for an 07 up and a 1x on a 06 up.

That makes more sense now because I was like "the motor is exactly the same throughout the years parts wise". Just various sensors or in this case the reluctor wheel.

Swap cranks and you are done lol.

My current 08 threw a rod, I'm not sure if that's feasible

Is that intake on backwards or is this not an LS4?

That is a LS4 intake manifold, that fuel rail is from a LS4.

Looks like it was just put on backwards as it can go either way on a LS motor and the valve covers were swapped side to side. Those exhaust manifolds are from a LS4 as well. That balancer is also the LS4 style.

I actually didn't notice that. It is a LS4 though. I was going to swap the intake anyways.
