What springs are you currently running with these? I am currently running 1.8 YT RRs but am thinking about moving up to the 1.95s for a bit more power. I am currently on stock springs though

You aren't going to see any major difference between 1.8's and 1.9's, stock cam!
.4644 vs .4902 with same duration. It's just a little more lift, only reason would be maybe, and a big maybe, to remove a .5* of knock, lol...

L76 Springs or better work just fine (90#)

That said, is a great upgrade from stock, with accompanying breathing mod's, ie, headers, intake.

Don't hate me haha, but how bad would it really be to keep using my stock valve springs with these 1.95's? I am sticking to stock shift points (haven't bumped up to shifting at 6k rpm like many do) so wondering if I can get away with 1.95s with the stock valvetrain and not see much if any valve float. Open to thoughts. In addition, other mods are in my sig.

Op, let me know if you'd like me to take this topic outside of your FS thread.

don't use your stock springs as you will get float when you start making more power. car will perform much better with new springs.

    ^^^this^^^

Again, no unicorns, it's all been done before, stick with what has been shown to work. The L76 Springs are cheap, and I'd change valve seals anyway any time I work on valve train as cheap insurance against leaks, so while springs are off, change them out. When you order from GM you'll get 16 springs though, lol, you'll have extra. Sorry OP about jacking your thread ; )

No worry on jacking the thread, and quite honestly i am no joke running stock valve springs, i searched and searched to assure someone else did my silly move before deciding to do it myself and so far so good.

No valve float per scans at the moment, reason i really installed these was due to a serious part throttle kr problem i was fighting since my gen V w/n* and lq4 maf install, followed by my zzp 1 3/4 primaries install and nothinf fixed it so reason why i went ahead and said screw it!

All TCC apply/release tables ended up finally using some 04 GTP trans TCC and trq management tables to fix my part throttle im still battling and now only at blimps of 50% throttle. These spikes are 10* ive solved them all but now back to the TCC table editinf to fix that one@50% throttle in 4th.

My car ended up landing in on of those categorys "all cars are different" cause my GT l67 xp cam build never had this issue.

Problem is that im new to the TCC table part of tuning but my brain does have some common sense which was the reason i used 04 GTP tcc tables because of l32s maf and tb being bigger over l67 97-03 setup. Learn something new every day i tell you.

Thanks for the info. How long have you ran them on your car??

I have fought the part throttle KR isssue plenty in the past. I ended up modding my TCC tables and it has pretty much solved the issue for me. I can upload a pic of my apply/release table later today or send you a picture if you'd like

Thats what im battling here is the TCC settingsb i noticed that in Performance mode as the tcc tables are different i can apply the same throttles and get 0 kr where with performance off i get too much kr so i have copied the performance tcc settings over to normal driveline and modified those a bit.

I am in the process of studying this entire tcc table and understanding exactly how the apply/release and lock/unlock work.

Idk if you have fb or not but id be more than happy to check out your tcc tables, just i am using a n* tb and lq4 maf which will varie due to the tps and airflow from my understanding. Shoot me a messege if you like.

Bet you'd pick up a bit if you put new springs in. I too was a stock spring person with 1.9s, but after breaking one of the originals I went with 105's. Car picked up 5 mphs in the 1/4. It's not something you'll necessarily see in a scan and may be contributing to your kr problem.

All of the KR is in the TCC settings, not all cars have this problem as my 02 GT w/l67 swap xp cam, portef hesds etc... Doesn't nor ever did even before the csm setup, read above comments. No mods will fix this kr not even 110 octane would cause ive tried to see if it was false even with timing@8*@WOT it doesn't fix it.

Springs wont remove my car just like installing the 1.95 Roller Rockers from Yella Terra didn't remove my kr this is strictly a TCC tune that im working kn and slowly getting it fixed so far so good just a couple more adjustments and she should be golden!

Springs will be installed at some point but for now im shifting@wot at 5300 rpm netting only 9psi at 5300rpm.

    L67, Gen V, ZZP headers gen 1 1 3/4" primaries, yella Terra 1.95s w/7.290" pushrods and a 3.5 MPS.

Those mods should see no KR and im a timing over boost guy or else id run a 3.4 lol.

So im working on my tcc tables, 02 values, and aiming for 18-19* timing at WOT, feels good so far also still playing with my MAF tables for lock in my fuel trims, the part throttle kr has delayed me so much from getting all the rest of the tune done but its getting there.
