Hey GPF, this is my last connection to the WBody world and it's taking up space in my garage and I just want it gone. I was keeping this motor for sentimental reasons, but after I bought the 'Vette, I could honestly care less about it at this point. I'll only entertain local offers. I wouldn't even consider shipping this thing unless you were 100% on board with covering that cost yourself. I can take pictures of it tonight to post along with an email/text, too. PayPal only (for non-locals), no refunds. You're getting a balanced and studded L67 ready to rock with everything honed, bored properly for the main caps, etc. This motor had a Thrasher Cam setup in it for appox. 20k~ miles before the car was ripped apart, demoded, and sold. The motor was rebuilt and all the parts
2003 L67 original block from my old blue GTP (this block had PROBABLY 62k original miles on it when it was pulled)
L32 Rods - New @ time of build (20~k miles on them)
L67 Pistons - New @ time of build (20~k miles on them)
OEM GM TTY Rod bolts (no machining of rod faces needed) - New
^^Both Brand new at time of build so appox. 20k~ miles
ARP Main Studs - New
Clevite Bearings throughout - New
Hastings OEM sized (stock bore) Piston Rings - New
Balance shaft blocked off and deleted
New Rear Cover gasket/rear main seal
New freeze plugs/galley plugs throughout
Oil Passages gone through and opened up for better oil pressure
What you'll see (once I post pictures) is what you get. This motor hasn't been ran, yet. It was redone for a big turbo setup that never happened. However; It's a just a low compression 3800. This mother ****er needs a sh1t ton of boost and a big cam. Do cool things people. It also needs heads. Needs head studs. I wouldn't go back to stock TTY head bolts. Needs an oil pan and everything accessory wise, obviously. Needs a cam. But this is a perfect foundation for someone wanting to build a stout engine on the side or to not have to worry about a rotating assembly doing the whole 100 mile special and then chucking a rod bearing or the like because it wasn't property built. All the machine work was done by Bulldog Racing Engines in Missouri, by Mike the owner. Usually builds high RPM 3800/4.3 Vortec's for dirt/circle track racing. I'd recommend him to anyone. My old Thrasher motor pulled like a fright train up above 4k all the way to 7k (obviously you'd want a non-OEM balancer since they'll only take 6500~) where all 3800's seem to die off power-band wise.
You can still buy that cam, here: http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...oduct_Count=11
Here is what it sounded like in my car with catless headers, full 3" exhaust to one bullet spintech muffler, into a 3" Y: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMCUElymQq8
That cam will need head work (since the lift is north of the stock limit of .550") but it worked well for me. Just a suggestion.
I'd like to get $250 for it picked up; cash only. Price is FIRM. You're going to add shipping and 3% in PayPal fees if paying that way if you're not local. I won't do any down payments, dibs, holds, etc. First one with money in hand gets it. I work across the street from a UPS store so quotes are super easy to get if you're out of town.
Thanks everyone,
Nick - Blueguy*
