By the time I replace the water pump on my tow rig...find a spare tire...drive out...rent a dolly...drive back...I could probably have it shipped for that cost or close. Shipping can be almost 1k in itself, depending how far. I saw what mine was, shipping from Germany to Alaska... Definitely more than the car was worth.
I didn't have to pay it though, so good luck with whatever you decide.
A "stock" quote from uship looks to be about $777 with one of their regular shippers. I imagine I could see lower if I sent it to bid on their site, though I've never used their site so I'm not sure exactly how it works.Quote:

I was on the fence at $1500, but I'm serious at $1000. I'd love to see this car back on the road with the kind of shape it is in. Just need to figure out the best way to get it from PA to WI. I'd love to come pick it up, but the ONLY weekend I have free between now and September is the first weekend in August, and I would need that weekend to do the water pump on the truck.Quote:
