    Does the '93 Grand Prix use a standard battery or does it need something special? If so, what should I ask for at a parts dealer or shop?

    Just a regular battery.

    Tell them your vehicle and engine size and they will tell you what size battery you need.

    they should know what battery belongs in that year car, at the parts store that is.
