I have replaced 2 heater hoses (same hose, bottom I think outlet) on my 98 GTP in the last five days. Hose's springs a leak under boost. Anyone else have this problem/have a theory on why this is happening?!

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

wheres the hose leaking from? the fire wall or the alt bracket?

have you flushed the core? if its really clogged up the back pressure may force it to leak.

It's before the bend from the firewall. Heater is working fine. Could it still be clogged?

is the engine hitting it? ( bad mounts maybe?) if new it shouldn't blow out at the turn in the hose.

Engine is not hitting it, nothing even close to it. First hose was fine for months before it blew. Second one blew five days later...

so the hose is ok, but its leaking at the clamp?

i replaced one of these heater hoses as well, and they didn't even have a part # listed for it, so they gave me free roam of the hose isle and would find 2 or 3 at a time to take up with me to test fit.

its a odd hose, one side is larger then the other. so maybe its to big on the core side?

Already fetched one out of the tool box for when I switch out his hose. But the hose is bursting, its not leaking at the clamp.
