Well I'm having an issue, I recently changed my belt on my 3800 gt after doing so my car had no problems, hours later I start the car and I hear the screeching noise and see my belt jumping up by the power steering pump, soon after my belt rips in half so I changed the belt (again) , and the idle pully... I start up the car, still making the noise and my belt rips again so right now I have half a belt and screeching car, the sound is defentaly coming from the pully and before I put the second belt on I made sure everything was lined up, so what else is left to check?

Oh and btw it looks like the belt pushing away from the engine on the power steering part

Maybe you need to address the tensioners/idlers/PS pulley if the belt keeps getting destroyed.

Sounds to me like you are putting the belt on wrong.

Or the tensioner itself is bad.
