i have a 2002 grand prix gtp 40th anniversary and it failed etest really bad, found out i had an intake leak,so i changed upper and lower, did plugs and wires cause they were bad too and oil and coolant. now the car runs crappy, blows black smoke sometimes, stalls while driving and i ran codes and got code 101 and 140,one meaning o2 sensor #2 and performance problems with the maf sensor, but the weird thing is it never did any of this before the intake gaskets were changed and my boost guage doesnt show any boost either.....plz help

Map sensor might be unplugged, coolant sensor or maf unplugged to.. if its doing this after taking the top end apart then I'm guessing you forgot to plug 1 of those 3 sensors in it not all of em

Boost gauge gets it's info from the map sensor... I've heard of people accidentally switching the plugs around between the map and barometer.. the plug will fit in each other.. do you have a scan tool? If the coolant temp is unplugged it will show -38 on the scan tool and the motor will run rich.. if you forgot to plug the map sensor in it will also run rich and your boost gauge will stop working.. and if you forgot to plug both in the motor will run extremely rich.. and that could account for the black smoke coming out of the exhaust and your boost gauge not working

I'm willing to bet you didn't plug the map sensor in or switched the map plug and barometer plug around.. map controls the boost gauge and the pcm uses map and TPS to know if the maf is out of range.. the catalytic converter o2 sensor code is more then likely because the car is running extremely rich.. figure out your problem before you ruin your cat bro...
